Welcome to Wroxall Primary School. We are a community of children, parents, staff, governors and friends, whose joint aim is to provide the best possible education for our children.
This website, and our school prospectus, are intended to help you know more about the life and work of Wroxall School but the best way to find out more is to come and talk to us, look round the school and see for yourself what we have to offer.
We see each child as an individual but also as a member of a community. Whilst they are with us we will provide them with a wide and balanced range of learning activities which meet their present needs but also help them to grow into independent and responsible members of society. Whilst striving for academic achievement, we also believe that every child has an entitlement to a happy primary school experience – every child is ‘unique’ here!

Primary Science Quality Mark
Great news..we have been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark at Gold level! We are very proud to have achieved this nationally recognised status, well done team Wroxall! Mrs Sims put together a portfolio of evidence of science across our school and beyond. Here is what one of the assessors had to say…
“A wonderful submission. It certainly is all happening on the Isle of Wight. I am looking forward to meeting up with Michelle at future ASE/PSTT conferences as she clearly is an innovative, inspirational primary science leader who has accomplished a great deal in a short time. The whole teaching team at Wroxall should be congratulated on their commitment to their shared vision for primary science. Their enjoyment and passion for enquiry lead learning comes through as a real strength in the portfolio. I really got a feel for the wonderful fun that both children and teachers are having through their science learning experiences. I shall be bookmarking the website for further inspiration. I strongly recommend Wroxall Primary for Gold PSQM for their leadership in the development of Primary Science across the Isle of Wight.”
Our average class size will remain smaller than average. Maintaining a low ‘child to teacher’ ratio, ensures that every child can be seen and heard. Of course, additional, first class support assistants (either graduates or fully qualified) are also working in every class. We all look forward to meeting you.
